The prompt today was how the presents get to us from the tree.
Since the girls were little they have always jumped into bed with us on Christmas morning to open their stockings (now they are 20, 17 & 12 and still doing it!!). Then we all run downstairs and sit in the front room looking at the presents under the tree. By this time it could be as late as 7:30am!! The person nearest the tree finds a present with the youngest persons name on it. Then we take it in turns (in age order) to open them until we've finished. It makes the present opening last much longer and we can all see what everyone else has had instead of it being a free for all.
This year Gemma's boyfriend Matt is staying with us but Lisa's boyfriend Liam will be at his own house so we have decided to start a new tradition. We will go downstairs and open the presents under the tree first. We are going to leave the stockings until Liam arrives so we can open them all together. I've told everyone they have to put their PJ's back on and sit under a duvet on the front room floor (lol). Watch this space!!
