Walking

We did all our jobs this morning, washing, drying, hoovering, dusting, cleaning the fridge etc. Went to Morrisons to do the shopping. Elena went to drama, Gemma went to work (for 7am poor thing). Then we had a bit of 'us' time. Andrew & I went a walk, it was dry, blue skies but the wind was cold. We walked out of the end of our road (we always hold hands), under the railway bridge and along the unmade road towards Shanklin. I think it was more of a route march through Lake Cliff Gardens (lol) and down Winchester steps to the sea front. The tide was half way between the sea wall & the groynes and quite calm considering the storms of late. We headed back towards Sandown which was a bit of a relief as the cold winds were behind us. We talked about all sorts, work, Gemma's & Lisa's impending party, the fact that someone as thick/stupid as Jade Goody could start WW3, it was lovely. We walked past strollers and up Davonia steps into Ferncliff gardens. As we walked up the last couple of steps though we both decided we were definitely not fit!! We weren't out of breath but it wasn't a breeze either (lol). As we headed back home along the cliff path I noticed we were walking perfectly in step with each other. It is weird how we are so in tune with each other. It seems over the years we have almost become one person not functioning properly without the other. I think I know the true meaning of the phrase ~ this is my other half!!
