Saturday stroll today was going to be a walk along the sea front at Nettlestone but unfortunately Andrew had to go to Newport to lock the office. We decided to walk along the old railway track which starts by the vets on the industrial estate. I'm so pleased we did as I hadn't been down there before. We saw some swans and ducks swimming around between the rushes. As the tide was out there were lots of birds foraging for food on the mud flats. Then, on the way back, Elena spotted a red squirrel. We watched it for ages. It's a long time since I saw one in the wild. It's so lovely to see such a variety of wild life and not that far away from home either :O) I didn't have my camera with me which is a shame. Lisa has taken it to drama to get lots of photos of the show. We're off to watch her in Puss in Boots at 7:30pm which is exciting. This will be her last pantomime at Newchurch as she is off to Uni in Septemeber. I won't miss being a taxi every nigt but it's sad that this chapter in her life is ending. Oh well, no one can take off us what we've already had!!
