I missed my first blog entry yesterday. We were so busy getting ready for the party, I just couldn't fit it in. We cooked 20 pizza's, 3 x bags of chicken dippers, 4 bags of sausage rolls & 120 cocktail sausages. We made cheese & pineapple on sticks, pasta salad &
Cesar salad. In between all this, both Andrew's sisters arrived with their families. It was hard work but great fun. We went and picked up the helium filled balloons at 4:45 and went down to the club house. Mum arrived with 120 cup cakes and 6 big cakes. We had crisps,
Doritos,
jaffa cakes, party rings &
haribo. It didn't take long to set everything up and by 8pm the party was in full swing. There were about 150 people, mostly youngsters & apart from one small incident (
alcohol fueled) everything went really smoothly. Everyone said it was one of the best party's
they'd been to. Not sure if they were just saying that? I just wanted everyone to have a great time. Both
Gemma & Lisa looked gorgeous & so did Elena. Liam & Matt had had a bit to drink and when it came to leaving, Liam was hilarious. He kept saying 'I'm really sorry' over & over again. No-one knew what he was sorry about. The more we laughed at him the more he was sorry. *
lol* We managed to get him home to bed and this morning he didn't even have a head ache.
And, to make the night even more special there was a total eclipse of the moon!
We have just chilled out today, been to the club house this morning and cleaned it all up. Tonight we are all going out for tea at the Dairyman's Daughter in
Arreton, all 22 of us, Me, Andrew,
Gemma, Matt, Lisa, Liam, Elena, Teresa,
Nik, Dan, Josh, Jake, Max, Chris, Claire, Matthew, Zoe, David, Debra, Lorna, Craig & Alistair. We are taking Matt &
Gemma to the ferry as they are off to Disneyland Paris.
