We walked along the sea front to Shanklin today. The tide was in and the wind was blowing one of those icy breezes that you're aware of round the back of your head if you haven't put up the hood of your coat. It was definately a 'Tuperware Day', the sky full of mist and the sea brown & murky. You couldn't tell where the horizon finished and the sky started. The wind was whiping up plenty of waves and there were more suds in the water than my washing machine has when I've filled the plastic ball up to the top with Persil.

Andrew had the job of photographer today and I love how he has captured the wave racing towards the sea wall.

As we got further round the revetment towards Shanklin the sun tried it's best to peek through the gloom making the sea shimmer.

We walked as far as Shanklin Chine and then up the hill and back along the cliff path. It was a few degrees warmer up there and the sky was unbelievebly blue. You couldn't tell it was the same day until you looked at the sky over the bay. As we walked along past all the houses and hotels we spotted this teacup on one of the gate posts of a cafe. It made me smile as I love quirky things and this comes under that catagory :O)
