Drove to Arreton and back over Brading downs to see if the mist had cleared but it hadn't. Only photo I got was of the gate that takes you across the downs. It was very peaceful like one of those lazy summer days when the birds are singing and the sun feels really warm on your back ~ heaven.Decided I had better pick Elena up from Nettlestone so drove back to Brading. I always see this converted church and wish I could have a look inside. I wonder if it looks fab inside or if it's one of those dissapointing places that just doesn't live up to your expectations?
Had half an hour to waste as I was early, so stopped off and walked around St Helens church.
This is a weird photo of the graveyard. I adore graveyards, they are such wonderful places. I don't find them morbid at all but that may be because nobody I know that well has died so I have no sadness associated with them. I wandered around the stones looking at all the wonderful information on them. When they died, how old they were so you could estimate a birthdate. Relationships to other family members ~ a genealogists plaground. I love these dead people, they never want anything from you, they are always patient and wait there for you to find them. Maybe I'm weird???
Went to pick Elena up. She had really enjoyed her day. She adores arty type things so painting was really up her street. Carol had organised a little competition too, a 'guess how many Easter Eggs there are in the jar' competition. Elena won!! She was so thrilled, it's the first time she has won anything like that. This is her beautiful face, just look at those gorgeous blue eyes :O)

Sunny Monday
Andrew got the chairs out of the shed yesterday whilst I was at work and put them on the patio. The weather must be improving!! Some days it has been warmer in the garden than it is in the house. You know those days when you have to have the central heating on in doors and when you go outside the sun is so warm you can't believe the heatings on.
Took Elena to Carol's house in Nettlestone again this morning. They were decorating the pots they had made the last time she went. On the way home I went up onto the downs and although the sun was really warm it was very misty so you couldn't even see the sea. I was trying to find some lambs to photograph but there were none about. Managed to take this photo instead.
Went home and did a few jobs including the photos for the her space my space blog prompt. After dinner I drove to Shanklin to post the letters from work and to see if I could buy some of those little Easter eggs covered in shiny paper. Couldn't find any anywhere, not even in the new pick & mix shop. Bought some of these instead ~ yum!!
