Andrew spent the morning gardening whilst I did the washing.

I managed to take a cracking photo of a Blackbird that was foraging for food in the newly dug soil.

After lunch we went to Seaview and walked along the coastal walk to Puckpool. The sun was glorious, so warm, it reall does make everyone feel so much happier. This was the first glimpse of the sea after parking the car. I thought the fishing net and buoys gave the photo a real sense of sea-side-ness.

Lots of people were out and about, walking, sitting on the beach, sitting outside various cafes & pubs drinking, fishing, boating, even paddling in the sea.

Elena & Andrew spent ages on the beach looking for shells. There were so many of them especially slipper shells although she did find some oysters, muscles, whelks & a few others shells we didn't know the names of.

We had a drink at the cafe in Puckpool park and then walked back again in search of another Mr Whippy ice cream.

On the way back we spotted the homeguard in the grounds of the Battery Hotel *lol*
One of the things that struck me today was the colour and the clarity of the sea - gorgeous. On the way back we drove through Nettlestone, St Helens and Bembridge Harbour. As we drove along looking at all the houseboats I took a photo out of the Nissan window and this is the result. Pretty cool I thought considering we were going at 30 mph!! Now I have learnt about the 'Sports mode' on the camera I am hoping to take some more "action" shots :O)

We carried on through Bembridge to Yaverland and onto Sandown. Andrew stopped on the High Street and we walked down the steps to the seafront and bought a Mr Whippy Ice Cream!! Yum :O)

Next weekend, for our 'Saturday Stroll, we are going back to Seaview and walking the other way towards Nettlestone. It's fab walking in the good weather and to top it all, it's free!!!
