Sunny Fields, Sheep & Seaside Strolls.

The photo on the her space, my space blog this morning was 'Date ~ A particular day, event, month, year. Find the date in your space today' The first thing I thought of was the day to day calendar at work with the photo of the girls stuck on it. So I took my camera with me as I always work on my own on a Thursday morning. I tootled off to work and managed to take a couple of quick shots of my desk and the calendar before it got too busy. Home again by 13:10, so photographed some of the beautiful things growing in the garden like the blossom on the cherry tree, the bluebells and the pansies in the tubs either side of the back door :O) Picked Elena up at 3pm and went back into Newport. Walked around the town for a little while, bought an 18th birthday card for Shane & some more face cream for me. We'd both had enough, so strolled back to the car to wait for Andrew to finish work. We were bored so we played a game of me trying to take a photo of Elena before she ducked out of the way or hid behind the paper she found on the back seat *lol*We drove to Ventnor to pick the Nissan up from the garage. Andrew took us the back way through Chillerton & Chale to Whitwell. He stopped the car for me so I could get out and take a photo of the rape seed fields. Isn't he a darling!! Unfortunately the sun was in front of me so it hasn't picked up the true brightness of the yellow. I adore these fields when they flower, they look so sunny, they give off a real feel good factor although the scent is less desirable :O) Then a bit further down the road we saw some lambs. You have no idea the amount of time I have spent looking for lambs!!! Got to the garage where the Nissan was waiting, the only thing it needed to have done was the bushes at the back and the usual things like oil etc. The good news, it was only £215 for the service & MOT, I thought it would cost way more than the Fiat!!! Home for tea, just us two & Elena tonight, Lisa & Liam were off to a BBQ and Gemma didn't come in from work so must have gone somewhere with Matt. Went for a leisurely stroll with Elena along the cliff path & down Winchester steps to the beach. Couldn't believe how far the tide had gone out!!This isn't the best photo in the world but as we got down to the revetment the sun was shining on the Commodore which made it look as if it was on fire.
Elena wanted to throw stones into the sea.
We couldn't believe how far out the tide was tonight. The sand's been washed away so we could see the rocks and the old groyne. We have lived here 19 years and have never seen it before. It amazes me how you can walk the same route week after week and there is always something different to look at. I adore living near the sea. These are some other photos we took using the new found 'night mode' on the camera :O)
