Before I went to work this morning I had a quick look on the
Her Space My Space blog for the title of todays photo (which was fence BTW) & noticed someone had left a comment. I opened it up to find
Jenny telling me I'd won the treasure hunt on
Wilna's blog!!! How cool is that and so kind of Wilna too. Well it set me up for the day as you can imagine. Just look what I've won ...

I just hope it's not going to cost her a fortune in postage bless her ~ hugs & kisses Wilna xXx
Elena and I have been back to Shanklin today to get another ball. I know she's only just bought one but it has done quite a bit of damage & I don't want Andrew having a coronary *lol* So I gave her the money to buy a basketball which seems much lighter. We walked to the new sweet shop where I took a sneeky photo inside. I feel such a prune taking photos when I'm out and about, is it me or does everyone feel the same way??? Anyway the sweetshop is, OMG, sugar heaven, with a whole wall of pick & mix for only 49p which is the cheapest on the IOW according to Gemma & Lisa.

I've told her to make them last the whole week (like that'll happen) :O) She is a darling though and she's a pleasure to be with. After we paid for them we walked into the Old Village and I took some photos of the thatched cottages. They are all so beautiful, you just have to marvel at the craftmanship. There are lots of thatched cottages all over the Island but I'm ashamed to say we are so used to them we take them for granted. So on my quest to 're-discover' the Isle of Wight, here they are in all their glory :O)

Just as we were walking down the road we spotted the new Rotary Club Wishing Shell.

We were going to walk round to Rylstone Gardens but decided we hadn't got enough time. As we turned round I spotted this amazing stained glass window in a house. I wish I could have gone inside because I bet it's stunning when the sun shines through it. It's something I have always wanted but doubt we'll ever be able to afford.

And here's me little sweetie pie with her new basket ball ...

Last but not least, we took Lisa to her singing lesson in Ryde and hurtled round Tesco in the 30 minutes we had before picking her up again. Liam came with us too which must prove that he feels more comfortable around us now :O) Went home again, cooked tea and then took Andrew's car over to Ventnor. Eric is going to service it and put it through its MOT tomorrow so I hope it isn't going to cost too much money.
