Wednesday is for working, washing, wood carving & wheels.

Been to work this morning, nothing new to report. Well actually I could probably talk about work for ages but I haven't done so far. It's one of those jobs where no 2 days are the same and even though we try our up most to be organised & prepared sometimes we have to fly by the seat of our pants. Now anyone who knows me knows I'm not a 'seat of your pants' person. I organise things, I make lists, I prepare, I delegate & most of all I have fun. We chat & laugh together, we share our problems & cry on each others shoulders. So in light of this I may add some snippets from now on of life at work!!

So I'm home now, washing's in, bed's made & the 'her space, my space' blog photo done. Today's word is 'Clean' so I couldn't resist taking a photo of my new laundry basket. I bought it last night from Tesco for £3.97!! What a bargain, I'm just in love with the colour :O) Picked Elena up from school at 3pm and went to Morrisons for some Robinsons Summer Fruits. My lot drink nothing else so it's a good job it was on special offer ~ buy 3 for £2. I ended up with 6 litres of the stuff :O) Carried on to Newport where we bought Elena some new school shoes. Had her feet measured in Clarkes and they were 5 1/2 G. Bit of a confession here, the shoes she had are a size 4!!! OMG what a terrible mother I am, I knew she needed them I just kept putting off the inevitable ~ poor thing. Clarkes had nothing in her size so we went to the other 3 shoe shops in Newport & they had nothing either. Ended up spending £40.00 at Brantanos for a pair of Bootleg shoes which she loves. How could I refuse after being so mean, she could have ended up with deformed toes if I had made her wait another day bless her.Andrew walked down to the shoe shop after finishing work so we could give him a lift home. We passed Sainsbury's and Andrew pointed out another of the wood carvings. Elena took this photo as we drove passed in the Nissan!!

It's a shame you can't see it properly but you can view a photo of it here in the wildlife section. The carving is of 2 otters swimming down to catch the fish. There are 2 fish on the right hand side swimming downwards trying to escape being eaten. I think Paul the wood carver is so tallented, don't you!! Home for tea. Gemma's bought a new rash vest & wet suit and put it on to show us. Andrew said "why does it say Actimel on it?" I swear he's going do-lally!! It says Animal!!! Then she started posing like the strong man from the circus so we all started humming the circus tune. You know the one, they play it in the James Bond film, Octopussy, when Bond is dressed up as a clown in the circus tent :O) Then straight over to Ventnor to pick Andrew's car up after its service & MOT. We left the Nissan there so it can have it's service & MOT tomorrow. The good news is Andrew's car passed it's MOT, the bad news, it cost £357. It needed a new tyre, new exhaust, new tube as it had a petrol leak, new shock absorber, new bushes as well as the normal plugs, points, oil etc. We have known Eric for years so we know he wouldn't diddle us out of money. The last 3 service & MOT's he's done nothing was needed so I don't suppose it's too bad in the grand scheme of things. I'm not looking forward to the Nissan's bill tomorrow though as I know there is something wrong with the shock absorber, it clonks and rattles every time I go over any bumps!! Nevermind Que Sera, Sera :O) We drove to Ventnor in the daylight tonight so I couldn't resist a quick photo of the view from Luccombe back towards Shanklin, Sandown & Culver Cliff.
