Liam's ancestors :O)

I've been giving Liam's ancestors a good coat of thinking about :O) Luckily, his Mum has some documents to start some research if Liam wants to. If we knew what his grandmother's name was when she died (as she could have married) we could send for her death certificate because all those registered after 1969 included a date of birth! Then we would have her maiden name and date of birth so we would have a good chance of obtaining the correct birth certificate which would, in turn, include the names of her parents. The only downside to all this is, we know she's Irish!! Records from Ireland are difficult at the best of times but it's worth a try.
Edited to say:-Oh no, I've got all my facts muddled ~ trust me. Yes Liam has got some paper work but his Dad didn't find his Mum. Liam's Grandparents adopted 3 or 4 children all from Ireland and all from different families. It was Liam's uncle that found his Mum. So the death certificate theory is out of the window.
