The Pelican Brief

It's been sunny and warm again today, so we went to Flamingo Park. Elena is such a happy & thoughtful young lady, I love spending time with her. She adored the birds & animals and even spent her last 50p buying another bag of bird seed on the way out, so she can feed the ducks on the duck pond near Tesco ~ bless :O) These are some photos from our day out ... One of my favourite birds at the park are the Pelicans :O) We watched the penguins for ages, they were sooo funny This little guy kept running up and down the step and crouching down as if to dive in but kept having second thoughts ~ lol. Then the others started to follow him, swimming in the same direction as he was running :O) We were doing a Johnny Morris special saying things like, Simon Says, swim to the left. Simon says, swim to the right and laughing so much, you just had to be there it was hilarious ~ lol :O) We listened to a talk about the penguins which was very interesting and then Elena got to feed them with some dead fish :O) We listened to a talk about the Wallabys too, and then got to feed & pet them. Elena noticed one of them was carrying a Joey in her pouch. All in all, we had a wonderful & informative afternoon together in the sunshine.
