Last night Elena had a rehearsal for her forthcoming Roman Roots show at Brading Roman Villa. She announced, proud as punch, that she knew all her lines :O) She came home with her Roman costume and jewellery ready for the show on Thursday, Friday & Saturday evening. She's got another rehearsal tonight. Andrew & I have bought tickets to watch her on Thursday evening. I can't wait, it's the first time I'll have seen her perform anything since she started with the drama group at Christmas :O) Just hope it doesn't rain as they are doing some of the show outside in the grounds!! Nevermind, I'll be there with my camera and the biggest brolly I can find ~ just in case. The costume department have worked tirelessly to make sets of jewellery for them to wear and this little lot is Elena's ...

The background material is her costume :O)
I wonder how Gemma's getting on on the mainland. The catarmeran must have been bumby this morning with it being so windy, poor thing. I'll find out tonight what she's been up to.
Just got the low down from Lisa & Liam :O) Liam's working this afternoon and Lisa has offered to do the ironing, isn't she just the best :O) Tonight they're off to the quiz with some friends. They came 3rd last week which I thought was pretty snazzy, they love doing things like that. We sit watching
QI sometimes hosted by Stephen Fry (genius) and Alan Davies (I love Alan I do).

Apart from it being hilarious it really is Quite Interesting. We learn allsorts of random facts that tend to crop up at quiz nights. For instance, did you know that in the original story of Cinderella, her slippers were made out of squirrel fur and when the story was translated into English the words were translated wrong and so they ended up being made from glass instead!!!
What am I doing? Nothing much, I've done the usual very boring housework, been to Shanklin Hotel to make sure the advert for the Holiday Park is included in the 2008 IOW Guide, been to the post office to post the letters for work and then at 4pm I'm off to work :O) Nearly forgot, this is my new laundry basket ~ how funky is this little fella, £4.00 from good old Woolworths ...

Just got to share this :O) It was raining buckets at 3 o'Clock when Elena finished school so I picked her up and took her to McDonalds. I know we were supposed to be boycotting it because of the rain forest but I had to go to work, Andrew wasn't in until 5:30pm and she had to be in Brading for 6pm so McDonalds it was. We went through the drive in and ordered 2 lots of chicken selects, chips, dip & coke cola. We sat in the car park eating it and talking about school and the lessons she'd had and how she was learning about puberty (yikes) and how her favourite teacher, Mr E (short for Edmunston), was back. She told me about the great Maths lesson she'd had with him, when she said "If I go back to France I want to go back to that waterpark we went too ~ it was so much fun. Oh and that theme park too." It was quite out of the blue so I asked what had made her think of it and she said, "We had chicken on the last night of the holiday". It's so funny what goes through their minds isn't it :O)
