Maria Horrocks & Thought Processes

Aren't thought processes funny! This morning Elena was on the computer looking on HS:MS for the word today and I was sat on the settee. She asked me what I was thinking about and I told her how clever I thought Andrew was, the way he can cook 3 different meals at the same time! Then I explained my thought process. I was looking around the dining room and realised that the settee, carpet and curtains were all shades of pink and it reminded me about something I heard on the radio yesterday. There is a very simple explanation why females like pink. It goes back to cavemen days when women were the primary hunter gatherers. They were drawn to pink because it was usually a sign of ripe edible food and they think that that is the reason for our fondness of pink today. Then I was thinking of how Andrew cooked 3 different meals last night & it just made me smile how thought processes work. Does everyone think like this or do different people think different ways? Just curious :O)
After hanging the washing out and the usual stuff like breakfast etc. I went with Liam to the garage in Cowes so he could drop his car off to be mended. I gave him a lift back home which was the least I could do. He is such a lovely lad and so easy to talk to. Got home, more housework ~ boring! Sat at the computer with a cuppa and the damn thing froze (computer not the tea ~ lol!) Tried turning it off and back on again and no matter what I did it just didn't want to play. I have a love/hate relationship with my computer, I LOVE it when it's OK & I HATE it when it's not ~ ROFL. I gave up in the end so we went to Tesco to do a weekly shop. I spent £73 so with the £12 I spent at the beginning of the week I am £15 under budget. I was well pleased ~ Jamaica here we come :O) Put all the shopping away and turned the computer on. I talked to it nicely and stroked it and prayed that it would be OK and voila, it's up and running like a goodun! Phew!!! Checked my e-mails and this is what came up ... It's a photo of my GG Grandfather's sister, Maria Horrocks taken in the 1930's. My cousin Chris e-mailed it to me. The only record I have of Maria is this census entry ...
1871 Census

Hannah M. HORROCKS - Daughter - 1 - Female - Born Clayton, Lancashire
Maria HORROCKS - Sister - 2_? - Female - Cotton Winder - Born Clayton, Lancashire
A while back Chris e-mailed me a photo of her G Grandmother Sarah Horrocks who is also my GG Grandfather's sister. I wish I had a photo of him too. My Dad's sister has a lot to do with this side of the family and she has asked everybody she can think of but no photos have ever turned up. I wrote to my Dad's cousin and asked him too and he said they didn't have any either.
