Well Andrew, Gemma, Lisa & Liam are at work. Matt’s out sailing and Elena’s at Emma’s birthday bash :O) I took her to Seaview for 1pm for a beach party & BBQ but, yet again, the good old British weather isn’t playing fair. Luckily they had ‘plan B’ which is taking place at Emma’s Nana’s house :O) Look what Elena made yesterday; it’s a ‘rocking card’ for my Mum’s birthday. She’s drawn it (copied from a magazine) and painted it with watercolour paints. The ball of Plasticine acts as a weight :O)

So what have I been doing? Well my fabulous, Floridian Cousin, Chris (try saying that after a Bacardi & coke ~ lol) has e-mailed me to say that someone may have found the MI (Memorial Inscription or gravestone) of my GG Grandfather George Horrocks!
I've been in touch with a lovely fellow named Stan Laing. He has come across George Horrock's grave marker in Clayton. Is this your George? and do you know where it is? He says he will forward photos if you do not have them.
As I didn’t know when he died I have been searching the indexes on Ancestry.co.uk and I think I’ve found him :O)
4th qtr 1916 ~ George H ~ 75 ~ Prestwich 8D 529
According to Genuki Clayton is 5.2 miles away from Prestwich as the crow flies :O) As I know he was born in 1841 I am pretty sure that this is him :O)
Last night Lisa had some friends round to watch 'Die Hard'. They took over the front room so Andrew, Elena & I had to sit in the dining room :O) It sounds like a punishment but it wasn't. This is Elena on Lisa's laptop.

I'm sure I haven't mentioned this before but forgive me if I have :O) Lisa's off to Roehampton Uni next month and has had to get a student loan to pay for her tuition etc. When she told me her results I checked out the bursary section of Roehamptons website. Apparently students are entitled to £1000 a year that they don't have to pay back if they get 320 points or more which is equivalent to, you guessed it, an A & two B's :O) She e-mailed them and asked how to apply for the money and it's automatic, how cool is that {insert huge grin here}. That's another £20 a week which I'm sure will help enormously.

Exciting news about your GG grandfather. It must be so satisfying and rewarding finding out about all family members. Your hard work is paying off and your family tree must be looking pretty good by now.
Great news about Lisa award money, and ever greater news that it was automatic. Usually nowadays, we have to fight for our money.
You'll have that holiday paid off in no time, who cares that you have to cut back a bit for a while, it'll all be worth it when you're sitting on that beach or beside the beautiful pool. Will you stay at the same hotel?
Love Elena's card byt the way, clever girl :-)
