Noticed all the smells & sounds tonight, lots of food cooking, joss sticks burning smelling of incense, people smoking the big pipes that look like genie bottles with tubes coming from them.
Lots of music from traditional Egyption/Arabic music to Frank Sinatra & Lionel Ritchie. Some places had CD's playing while others had live acts. All outdoors so you can really soak up the atmostphere. Fairy lights everywhere.
Wandered around the shops and bedouin tents. Went to Cilantros (our favourite place) for evening drinks. Came back to the room to find the beds had been 'turned down', all the petals & leaves cleared & a chocolate eclaire on each pillow, don't you just love luxury *lol* Would I come back? yes probably, but I'm a creature of comfort (or a pain in the ass, not sure which). If I did I would bring my own pillow. The bed is like sleeping on a brick and so are the pillows. The cushions on the patio chairs are like sitting on a brick, mind you I shouldn't complain, everywhere else we've stayed we've had plastic garden chairs, even in Jamaica. Andrew's colleague at work, Lynda, text Andrew today saying they have the James Bond Casino Royale DVD on special offer at £9 something for one week only and did he want her to get him one? How lovely is that? Someone willing to text abroad to ask him :O)
