Wedneday 21st March

Not a good nights sleep, the matress still feels like a brick. Got up at 10am (overslept) breakfast finishes at 10:30 so a bit of a rush as I couldn't miss breakfast. Tried snorkeling with the lilo (lilo-ing???) which worked a treat. Elena got stung on the leg by a jelly fish. It came up like a big nettle sting, I offered to wee on it *lol* (Friends episode) *lol*. The security/beach bloke came over and put lemon juice on it and all was well a couple of hours later. Cilantros for lunch, couldn't miss their strawberry smoothies or the friendlyness of the waiters :O) Sat round the pool reading in the afternoon. Gorgeous weather today, best day of the week. Elena stopped in the room catching up with some sleep whilst Andrew & I went a walk to watch the sun set over the Sinai mountains. The mountains are really jagged, they look like dogs teeth.Back to the Swiss restaurant for tea. Went another walk with Elena and she bagged 5 scarab beetles (she has good luck coming from all directions now) & a free postcard. Andrew has always loved Egyptian history and wanted to buy one of the figures from the shops. He ended up with King Tut & Anubis. Elena bought a bongo and 2 bracelets for her friends Emma & Lieber. I was waiting for Andrew when I spotted ........ a Christmas decoration!!! Couldn't believe it, of course I had to get it. We bought sweets for work & the journey home. Evening drink at Cilantros, hot chocolate for Andrew, Strawberry smoothie for Elena & an English breakfast tea for me with a cinnamon biscuit. Packed ready for tomorrow.
Decided Naama Bay & the Hilton Fayrouz is a cross between Blackpool in the 70's and Alice in Wonderland. Even the crescent moon looks like the Cheshire Cat grinning at us. Unfortunately we didn't see any caterpillars smoking pipes in the bedouin tents or playing cards painting the roses red although we did spot a ladder leaning against one of the topiary trees *lol* The gardens are immaculate with bushes of bougainvillea everywhere. They changed the matress for us today after Andrew asked them in reception so I'll tell you tomorrow if we get a better nights sleep.
