Work as usual this morning. Phoned home at 10:30 just to make sure everyone was up as Gemma was taking Lisa & Elena to the dentist for me. Got home about 1:30 and was greeted by a hug from Elena. We've been saying all week that we must go to Shanklin so she can buy a new ball. 
First though we drove through Brading and stopped at the golden arches for dinner. I don't usually like McDonalds food but the new chicken selects with sour cream & chive sauce are not bad at all. Elena had a cheese burger happy meal.
On the drive back to Shanklin we decided to go the back way, along Ashey road and past Nunwell house. 
There were loads of photo opportunities but unfortunately the traffic didn't allow us to stop. We managed to park quite close to the Sports & Model shop and Elena bought her ball. She was being very sensible and going for the cheapest one rather than the colour. I've taught her well *lol*. 
We walked up to the tourist information centre to find some leaflets on Isle of Wight walks. I wanted an OS map too and was just about to get it when Elena said "I've got one of those". Puzzled, I asked her where it was and she replied "in my school bag, we've been doing maps in Geography"!! So consequently I didn't buy one.
Gammon & pineapple for tea with hash browns, grilled tomato, fried eggs, peas, corn & broad beans. Went on another walk, that's 4 in 6 days!!!
Walked with Elena down Lake slip way to the pier in Sandown. 
Had another Mr Whippy ice cream with ... a strawberry chocolate flake!!! Walked back up Beachfield Road and through Battery Gardens, down along the Cliff Path and back home.
