They are staying at the Hotel La Peupleraie which looks OK. The aqua park looks fun, but she's decided that the chocolate factory is the place she is looking forward too most. Not sure about the snails although she is going to try one (she's braver than me!) Tomorrow evening we have to attend a "French" meeting at school to find out the details. We've sorted out all the paperwork etc. and she's all paid up courtesy of Nana & GranJack :O) So all in all we're pretty organised {breathes on nails, shines them on t-shirt} :O)
Well we had a spot of trouble with the basket ball net last night. Four local lads, not much older than Elena, decided that they were going to play with it and Elena wasn't. Now, I'm sure I don't have to explain to any mum reading this what my thoughts were on the matter and the said boys were told, in no uncertain terms, to go and play on the main road!! Boys being boys wouldn't leave it at that and abuse was hurled (from them not me). It really upset Elena as she is quite a sensitive soul, so, to make sure this intimidation didn't carry on after school I picked her up.
Lisa (DD2)had her Tuesday singing lesson last night with Linda Filby-Borrott (oh la, la). It sounds very posh (and it should be for the price -£16 for a half hour lesson) but Linda is just a darling. She is so enthusiastic and such fun to be with, I think Lisa is quite sad to be giving up to go to Uni. Good news though, Linda has organised a concert in July and has asked Lisa to be one of the soloists again. She is chuffed to little meatballs about it! She's singing one of the songs from Joseph which is the first musical I introduced Lisa too many moons ago.
Gemma (DD1) & Matt (her boyfriend but I call him No.1 son). Oh dear, another story altogether. Well I do feel very sorry for Matt at the moment as his mother has taken his door key away from him and isn't allowing him access to any of his stuff ~ clothes etc. Very long story, money's involved and I'm trying to keep out of it if I can. I've only heard one side of the story (Matt's) but having said that, what happened to the unconditional love a mother? Anyway, I left him a note this morning as I was very cross ... Matt, I really wanted to say this to you but we may not see each other for a couple of days. When you’re part of a family there are some unwritten rules you have to follow. The biggest one, CONSIDERATION, means things like, if I come in at 4:00 in the morning and wake everyone up how will they feel when they have to get up at 7:30 and do a full day at work/school. I’ll give you a clue, knackered and pissed off. Poor Gem suffers through lack of sleep and is sick all night with a headache. You have the luxury of staying in bed to catch up with your sleep, the rest of us don’t. We do like having you here and in the grand scheme of things, this isn’t a very serious offence. Just please make sure it doesn’t happen again. Vanda & Andrew. I haven't seen either of them yet today. Wish me luck :O)
Edited to say: Matt's really sorry and wants to buy me chocolates (Men think that's the answer to everything ~ I've taught Gemma well!! lol). He's also really pleased we consider him part of our family!! Well, I told you I was a softy, my heart melted and all is forgiven {lol} until the next time!!

OOOooooo
Ask your daugther If I can go to France with her!!
LOL about Elena and the chocolate factory, that would be my favourite too!
Well done to the singing superstar, will we be seeing her audition on TV for Andrew Lloyd Webber's next musical?
I hope Matt creeps in on his tip toes tonight and is suitably ashamed for waking the family.
