The bomb was left in a car parked outside a nightclub in the busy heart of London shortly after 1 a.m., when "hundreds" of people were in the vicinity, Peter Clarke, the head of London’s anti-terrorist police, told a news conference. "It is obvious that if the device had detonated there could have been significant injury or loss of life," he said. OMG, I actually feel sick inside. I tried not to let it show this morning as I was taking her to catch the catamaran. I know you can't let the terrorists rule your life or wrap your kids in cotton wool but I still can't help being worried sick. I really don't know what I would do if anything happened to her. It's not good to dwell on these things but if I lost Lisa I would lose Liam too. I would just have to adopt him and then he would be my son
instead of my future son in law :O) Goodness knows what his Mum would have to say about it ~ lol! On a brighter note, only 21 more days to wait until the final Harry Potter Book is released ~ The Deathly Hallows! We can't wait :O) We have 3 books on order for a family of 7 ~ do you think that will be enough? Andrew & I had them pre-ordered as gifts and Gemma's ordered herself one.Good weekend coming up, tomorrow is our 23rd Wedding Anniversary, oooerr, 23 years! Sunday, I've got the whole day off as Lisa is singing 3 solos in a concert in Ryde. AND England is going Smoke Free ~ yay! About flippin time. Us 'non-smokers' will be able to go to a pub or bar and not come back stinking of smoke.
Well I'm off to work again in a minute, Elena is walking to me from school. Andrew will pick her up and bring her home with him at 5:30pm. I can't believe she only has 3 more weeks at school before she breaks up for the long summer holiday.

Hi Vanda, I bet you thought I was never coming back. I'll update my blog later, lots has happened.
We are lucky cos Wales has been smoke free since the 2nd April, and it's been fantastic. We can go into pubs for meals now without having to wash our clothes the minute we get home. A cup of coffee in a cafe is a joy now with no smoke. Our nearest big town is in England, when Sarah and myself went on Monday we had a meal in a pub. I completely forgot that England wasn't smoke free, the meal was nice but the smokeyness even though we sat in the none smoking bit was yuck!
I hope Lisa is okay in London, I completely understand your worry, I would be just the same.
Congrats on the anniversary, hope you have a nice day :-)
Hey there!
You have been tagged... YES... tagged :) Check out my blog for details!!!!
Hi there Vanda,
Well... Can I relate to this post. Lemme tell ya!! Don't you wish that we could hide our children from the world? They are like sheep and the world is one big wolf. My son went on a class trip 2 years ago to Washington DC, on the very day he was visiting the White house, some dummy decided to fly into the White house Air space and fighter jets were sent out to take him out, of course... we didn't know it was a "dummy" at the time and thought it was another terrorist attack...turns out some idiot was lost... (he was told he's no longer allowed to fly)... But oh the fear, I was ready to hop in my car and go get my son, who was about 12 hours away at the time... I can't imagine life without my children, they are all so individual and so precious to me... so wonderful and so MINE MINE MINE!!! I keep telling myself that God has only given them to me for a very short time... But I don't ever want to let them go... Anyway, enough of my blah blah blah...!!!!!!! How are you? You know I don't think I have your email address, do I?? will you please send it to me???
Thanks...
Mine is tlcover@satx.rr.com!
How scary! My little sister was in Harrods when the Harrods bombing happened years ago. My mum was beside herself with worry. My sis was shaken but ok.
Looking forward to the smoke free zone too, it's so funny listening to all the smokers grumbling about it and I just think that now we'll be able to sit at the bus stop without having some cretin come and light a ciggy up over my two little boys. Hurrah for good things. :-)
Hi Vanda..
My name is Vicky and wanted to tell you what a great blog you have and what a beautiful family.
I came across it one day and have really enjoyed it. Hope you don't mind. I love seeing the pics and enjoy learning about your country, along with the great scrapbooking that you do. Have a great afternoon. Ta ta...
