A Night in A&E

When I finished writing my blog last night I went to see if Andrew was feeling OK and his leg was even more swollen. I suggested we went to A&E at the hospital and he said yes. I thought he must be feeling bad for him to agree like that. Gemma stopped at home with Elena and we went to the hospital. We got there at 11:15pm, the poor staff were rushed off their feet, it was so busy and they were so short staffed. 4 hours later we came home with some antibiotics & paracetamol. They said he has an infection in the soft tissue of his foot and a temperature of 38. His foot swelled to twice the size whilst we were waiting and he was in so much pain bless him. I suggested allsorts of things trying to make him smile ~ maybe we could go to the body shop in Newport, I said, and see if they have any spare legs? LOL!

Andrew's been in bed all day, feels like poo! It's not like him at all but I suppose rest is the best medicine. I went back to bed for an hour too this afternoon. Staying up till 4am doesn't really agree with me but I would stay up for a week if it meant that Andrew would be OK. Lisa & Liam had written a little message on the wipe board for us this morning ...

I love little things like that :O) Everyones been wonderful, Liam offered to do anything we wanted so I asked him if he could get some milk from the Coop, which he did :O) Gemma's said she's cooking tea tonight too. Do you know it's at times like this when you realise how great your family is :O)

The sun has been out all day today, not a drop of rain in sight which is great news because it's Elena's last performance tonight at the Roman Villa. She is thoroughly enjoying it and I'm really pleased for her. She is such a sweetie and it's so lovely to see her enjoying herself :O)

Well today is one of those special numbers day thingies (no idea what the proper name is). It's the 7th day of the 7th month of the 7th year!!!
