Changing The Guard At Buckingham Palace

On Thursday morning we went to Buckingham Palace to watch the Changing of the Guard. It stayed fine until half way through when the heavens opened and the rain came down in torrents. It only lasted a few minutes & then we were bathed in sunshine again as we walked along the Mall from the Palace to Marble Arch. We showed Elena Trafalgar Square and then carried on to the Science Museum. The section on Space Exploration was really interesting but the rest of it was a bit naff so we left & went to the Subway again for another Reggae Reggae Chicken sandwich :O) We sat outside the Tower of London eating our lunch :O) One of the things on Andrew’s bucket list was to visit the Egyptian artifacts at the British Museum so that’s just what we did. At the entrance of the museum is Dum Dum but although we waited he didn’t ask us for any Gum Gums lol. (You need to watch Night At The Museum). I loved the Totem Poles. We had tea at Bella Italia in the West End & it was fab After we had eaten the biggest pudding ever (the Godfather) we went to the Queens theatre to watch Les Mis. OMG it was the best, most fantastic, brilliantly wonderful show I've ever seen (apart from Phantom of the Opera of course). I fell in love with Jean Val Jean & Javert singing Stars was just amazing. We weren't allowed to take photos of the cast obviously but I did manage the above shot of the curtain :O) This one was taken from the les Mis website ... you have to see the show, it's worth every penny.
