Still Saving Money

Just sent this to Andrew who's at work ...

OMG I've just been to Tesco!!! Hello by the way ~ lol
I went because I promissed Liam & Lisa I would get 2 more pillows for them before Lisa came home, to save Liam keep carting them from our house to Uni & back again. Lisa also asked me if I could get some sure deodrant for her so she doesn't have to bring loads of stuff with her (remember how heavy her suitcase was last time) :O)
Anyway, went to Mr T's (tesco) after work and spent £44.73 !!!
Bought a few BOGOF's which reduced the bill to £36.08
Used a load of coupons & paid £19.40 !!! How cool is that, the pillows were £5.50 and got loads more stuff including more centrum vitamins etc. & 3 pairs of socks for me {insert huge grin} I used the coupons to get some more toilet roll which had 2 free rolls in the pack. Paid 84p for 6 rolls of loo paper ~ he, he.
Not only that, I managed to get 461 clubcard points added to the bill which is worth £18.40 in club card rewards ~ ROFL. I think I'm getting the hang of this now :O)
How sad is it to get this excited about shopping! Love you lots ~ ME xXx

On the way home I stopped to post some letters and ended up buying 3 Christmas cards to take with us to Claires house on Saturday. One for Claire, Nana Jean & one for our little Godson Max :O)
Elena's been to lantern club after school and finished her lantern ready for the parade on 5th November.

Plax Mouthwash is on BOGOF (buy one get one free)
Dove Bodywash is also BOGOF
Total spent = £6.39

Edited to say, Liam came round for his tea and slept the night. Told him we have all missed him like crazy. He is so gorgeous, we all love him to pieces. Just wish he would stay with us permanently whilst Lisa's away.

Hi Mum, Dad, Gemma and Elena,
Sorry I haven't been chatty on msn today, had a bit of a busy day. I've had both my subject briefing and am pretty happy with them so far. The education one seems a lot more writing than I expected, but too be honest I didn't really know what to expect. The drama one is a lot better than I thought also because I was worried that it would be all theory but its 50/50 with performance as well.I cooked my first jacket potato today and.................I'm still alive!!! Then Katie and I went around the ground to explore, the lake is so nice and grove house (the one we queued up outside of for ages on Sunday) looks so beautiful, its got an amazing fountain outside it.My books for education are £10 for two packs which you can only get here and the rest I can borrow from the library and I get my drama book list next week.Sorry but I've gotta go to sleep now because I'm pooped. To keep my mind occupied I am on a money saving campaign :O) Last night I had the best money saving shopping spree thanks to moneysavingexpert.com! Gemma has given me her Christmas wish list and on it were quite a few books. As MSE (money saving expert) explains, never buy anything until you've entered the item into a price comparison site first. So I put these 2 books into "pricerunner" and Amazon came up the cheapest. Instead of going straight to their website I logged onto nectar.com and then followed the link to Amazon because you can earn nectar points. Triple points at that!! So I put the 2 books into my shopping basket which came to £16.33, so I qualified for free delivery. They offered me £15 of my shopping if I signed up for (& was approved) a MasterCard from the Halifax. As I have nothing on my present card, I thought, what the heck. Nothing ventured nothing gained. Five minutes later I was approved a new credit card with £15 off my shopping. All I have to do is sign & return the paper work when it arrives :O) If that wasn't enough, because I had bought the books, I qualified for 60 free photos from photobox (new members only). I was already a member so I signed in with a different e-mail address and hey presto, 60 free photos ROFL ~ pretty snazzy if I say so myself :O)

Ebay

Well, I finally did it. I sold 3 of my 4 items on Ebay! I've been meaning to try & sell stuff on Ebay for ages now but never got round to it so I'm feeling rather chuffed :O) It was my first attempt at selling anything so I thought that getting rid of 3 out of my 4 items was pretty damn cool.

I've challenged myself to save up the money for the ferry & taxi ready for when we go on our holiday next May (about £150). This sounds easy but my aim is for it not to come out of our wages!! I have to sell stuff that's cluttering the house either on Ebay, a car boot sale or by any other means possible :O)
